Georgeous crumble. …sorry for bombarding you with recipes

This is truly Georgeous.  Ive never had gooseberries before this week and we were given some from a friend. 


They are so strange looking and I wasn’t sure what to make.

I googled and found a recipe I changed it about a bit.

250g of gooseberries
40g of caster sugar
80g of plain flour
40g demerara sugar
40G of butter

Heat oven to 160 and toss gooseberries in the sugar abd spread in a baking dish with two tablespoons of water.

To make crumble put the flour and a big pinch of salt in a bowl. …..I used the chef.   Add butter and mix until you have breadcrumbs consistency and then mix in the sugar


Scatter the crumble over the gooseberries.  Bake for 45 -50 minutes
