Today I a hard day, we have a funereal to go to to this morning of a friend who has gone way before his time….RIP is all I can say (shed a tear)
Anyway I’m pretty sure he would want me to carry on so
Leftover gammon – ham and leek pie
I stick a gammon joint in the slow cooker and use half that night with mash and parsley sauce and the other half I save for the next day.
5 Chopped leeks
Salt and pepper
Fry onion and leeks, add gammon and fry for a few minutes, season and add cheese sauce. Warm thru. Add to large pie dish
Roll out puff pastry and cover pie dish. brush with beaten egg.
Cook at about 220 for 30 minutes…….delicious
