Ok so now I’m taking full advantage of having the internet here in the shop 🙂 and it’s really really hammering down outside. So we’ve had a busy couple of hours to now having no one in town. So its time to blog and sort my fabrics out 🙂
The new look haberdashery lay out at the shop went down a yesterday and I love it. It’s took me a few hours to get used to it but its fab and means more stock can be ordered. The customers loved it and that’s the main thing.
Aswell we had the farmers market right outside yesterday. It’s an award-winning market that runs on the last Thursday off every month. With breads, cheeses, meats, pastries, plants and herbs, vintage wares, cakes, eggs, wines, jam, chutney and homemade pies. All fantastic and well worth a visit, and when I say its right outside this is the view from the upstairs workshop windows……perfect.
Yesterday I decided to try one of our Jelly Rolls out. I had fun being surrounded by strips of gorgeous fabric but I managed to pull myself together and make two play mats out of one jelly roll….bargain.
But last but not least the Bee hotel finally arrived and its hanging north facing in the garden. I love lavender and bees love lavender and actually I quite like bees. We just need to plant the lavender now and fingers crossed we will have a hotel full of bees 🙂
I’m off now to sort through fabrics and finish off some projects. I just hoping the rain stops before the school run and then it can rain all evening if it wants to 🙂 xxx
