My name is Ami, I’ve been married since 2005 and have one son. I live in a small market town in Derbyshire and I love it here.
I was diagnosed with bipolar in late 2009 after being admitted to hospital. Since then life hasn’t been easy.
My blog is a diary of my recovery and the tasks I undertake. I hope you enjoy x
So I thought I’d update my about page and put on a questionnaire I had to fill in with my CPN.
Likes – Family time, days out, Cinema, quilting, sewing, walking, charity shops and upcycling, coffee and a chat with mum, being busy, cooking and baking, trying out new recipes, and funny people.
Dislikes – Bitches, Bullies, Brussels and denim jackets, rude people, swimming, swearing.
Favorite book – probably the first hunger games. a child called IT. A have got a book on the go called The Cottage
Favourite food – Roast beef dinner, or any fish followed by syrup sponge. Salads, fruits and a little bit of chocolate.
Favourite place – Ilam and Dovedale in Derbyshire or Warwick Castle. Anywhere pretty and lots of green.
Favourite films – got to be the Goonies, watched it hundreds of times. I Love horror films too but there hasn’t been many good ones released for a while the last decent one was The Ring.
Favourite quote – Do what makes you happy, be with who makes you smile, laugh as much as you breath, love as long as you live.
Places I would like to visit – Italy or New York at Christmas time.
Dress sense – none really I like lots of styles but my favourite item in my wardrobe is a 50’s style dress. I don’t wear jewellery but I’ll wear a watch. Otherwise it just makes me itch. I only have one pair of heels and one pair of wedges, I mainly wear flats, pumps, sandals but not trainers. I love wearing skirts and shorts in the summer but I also love to wear skirts with wooly tights and a snuggly jumper in winter.
Five words to describe yourself – Kind, caring, ambitious, bubbly and anxious.
Achievements – Being a Mum and wife, living with bipolar, opening Simply Needlecaraft.
Things I plan to do – Lots really, craft wise I’d like to try mosaics, basket weaving and pottery (quite old-fashioned I suppose). I would love it move to more rural Derbyshire and have hens, sheep and pigs. And not get stressed.
